We dined here on Friday evening with a group of 8. We had reservations at 8:30, arrived a few minutes early, and were seated right away. Kyle was our server and he did an incredible job of taking care of our group. The food was fabulous. Definitely order the popovers...absolutely delicious. The grouper was recommended by Kyle, and it was delightful. Others in our group had the spit chicken, fried chicken, pork chop, and steak. Brussels sprouts and truffle Mac and cheese are also amazing. Overall excellent food, wine, and service!
Spent Sunday brunch there with my brother and friends. Didn't wait long for a booth. Joe, the waiter, was attentive and friendly. The burger was incredible. Bacon was thick...had a sweet taste...and potatoes were well cooked. When finished, you can take your drinks outside and walk through Armature Works or other outdoor venues nearby. As a side note, if you're a single bachelor like myself, the 'scenery' is nice too. Will definitely be back!
Having eaten here 3 times now, it is one of my favorite places to dine. The staff is attentive, professional and knowledgeable while the cuisine is top shelf. Last night, my friend and I had the rib eye and Tomahawk and it was one of the best steaks we've encountered. Peter, our server, was patient and wasn't afraid to have a laugh with us. Highly recommended place to eat.
From the area and this was the second time coming to this restaurant. My boss and his wife were in town and I wanted a nice place to go to dinner on a Thursday night. Waiter was far from energetic and substandard compared to first experience. Food was okay, but not worth the price point of $100+ per guest. I highly recommend you place a filter on your ice machines. My mixed drink smelled like fishy Tampa water and killed the drink flavor. I said something to the waiter and he simply said "sorry about that." Guess its normal. Fortunately, everyone else in my party drank wine. If you go, I recommend you either get wine or get a drink without ice. Wife and I both agree we won't be back. Not worth the price point...especially if your looking for something a little more upscale. Unfortunate...because the location and atmosphere are great.
Steelbach is a fine dining experience. The food has a inspired twist that sets it apart from other dinning experiences. The dishes my wife and I had were excellent. I will be back to try there steaks and a few other things on the menu. But I will be getting that Baked Potato and Avocado and Fennel saled again!
